The trekking packages featured on this website are organized by Makalu Arun Social Trek (MAST) based in Khandbari, Sankhuwasabha, Nepal. All bookings for these trekking packages adhere to the specified terms and conditions provided here.

1. Booking Conditions:
Advance confirmation is essential for securing your booking with MAST’s trekking package
Booking confirmation requires a 30% deposit. When you check in, you must pay the outstanding debt.
If the balance is not paid at check-in, we retain the right to cancel your reservation while retaining your deposit.
2. Booking:
Confirmation of your MAST trekking package booking will be arranged in advance, ensuring completion before you arrive in Nepal.
This allows for the timely processing of a TIMS card, a specialized trek permit, and other essential preparations.
However, if necessary, you may also confirm your trek booking upon arrival in Nepal.
3. Payment:
3.1 Payment For Trekking:
All trekking package bookings are managed by Makalu Arun Social Trek (MAST).
A 30% of the total contracted price is needed by us to confirm your participation in your desired trekking.
The remaining total cost can be settled either before your arrival in Nepal, upon reaching Kathmandu, or at the MAST office in Khandbari before the commencement of your trek.
4. Cancellation Policy
No-shows will not receive a refund. If you need to cancel and provide at least three weeks’ notice, you will receive a full refund of your deposit.
5. Unexpected incidents:
We disclaim all liability for any unanticipated incidents outside of our control or for the loss or damage to your personal possessions during the trip.
6. Itinerary Amendments
You may alter any itinerary to suit your interests.
The schedule may be changed to accommodate your interests, preferences, or unforeseen events.
Changes to your itinerary might result in an increase or decrease in the program’s overall cost.
7. Incomplete tours:
If bad weather conditions threaten the safety of trekkers, we’ll arrange alternative safe activities in place of the trek.
No refunds will be given for incomplete tours.
8. Code of Conduct:
We kindly remind you that we reserve the right to ensure appropriate behavior during your trip.
Participating in any illegal activities or jeopardizing your safety and that of fellow trekkers by disregarding safety instructions may lead to termination of your involvement, as per our discretion trip without a refund.
9. Travel and Personal Insurance
It is mandatory that you have secured comprehensive travel insurance before participating in our trekking program.
10. Personal Belongings:
Securely store your personal belongings within the facilities provided for your convenience.
MAST disclaims all responsibility for any loss or damage to your personal property, including travel papers.
11. Travel documents, visas, and passports:
We need a copy of your passport as well as your passport-size photo for your trekking permit from TAAN
You must have all necessary documentation, including permits, visas, and passports.
We cannot be held responsible for any issues resulting from incorrect information or missing travel documents at departure or arrival, whether by air or otherwise.
12. Flight Cancellation and Delay
We suggest adding one or two extra days to your schedule to account for weather-related delays and the higher-than-average chance of flight cancellations, particularly in the Everest region.
13. Waivers
Make sure that all waivers are completed prior to the start of the hike.
14. Sustainability
