Barun Valley Trek Itinerary (8 Days)

Day 1Khandbari (1030m)

Buddha Air Flight (30 minutes) from Kathmandu to Tumlingtar airport. Receive and welcome by MAST company staff at the airport. Catch an auto rickshaw and ,drive for 15 minutes (13km) and get Khandbari hotel room.
Meet your porter guide and be introduced with him and pack your necessary goods for the trek

Day 2Travel from Khandbari to Gola.

After breakfast at 7.30 am at hotel in Khandbari, catch your reserved jeep and travel to Gola for about 10 hour. Find one of the best tea houses at for your overnight stay there.

Day 3:Trek from Gloa to Barun river to Gola

After your breakfast at 8 am at the tea house, start your trek. Follow the path one the side of the Arun River. After walking for about two hours you get Barun River
Enjoy having a bath in the holy water. Enjoy observing the natural beauty around the area the whole day.In the evening, you trek back up to Gola where you can find one of the best tea houses for your food and accommodation.

Day 4:Trek from Golla to Hedangna Gadi

After your morning meal, you start your trek back up to Hedangna Gadi, which should take approximately 4-6 hours of trekking. Once you arrive, you can find one of the best tea houses in Hedangna Gadi for your food and accommodation.

Day 5:Trek from Gadi to Num. Trive from Num to Khandbari.

After having breakfast at 8 am in the tea house, you start your trek back up to Num, which should take approximately 3-4 hours of trekking. Once you arrive, you can take some rest in Num before catching a jeep to Khandbari.
After traveling for about will take approximately 4-5 hours, you arrive Khandbari in the evening. Your overnight stay at pre booked hotel room. there.

Day 6:Khandbari ExplorDay.

This day has been spared your Khandbari exploration. Visit the local market, purchase any local product like Allo Clothes, Rudrakshya, Sugra can (Sakhar) , sheep woolen blanket, (Radi), locally waved money bags etc. as a souvenir as you like.

This day you have time to visit any one schools or hospital or any one project being supported by our company and do some volunteering you like.

Day 7:Travel from Khandbari Tumlingtar . Flight from Tumling to Kathmandu

Get ready to go to Tumlingtar airport after eating your breakfast. Take an auto rickshaw to the airport; it will take 15 minutes (13 miles). Once you’ve checked in, bid farewell to the corporate personnel and relish your picturesque journey to Kathmandu.

FAQs About Barun Valley Trek (7 Days)

Question 1.I want to enjoy trek. What types of permits do i need ?

You need Special Trekking Permit to enjoy trek on this route. In order to get such permit you must have minimum two people in your group. Beside this you also have to pay for Makalu Barun Nationla Park Entrance fees at Hatiya site office. (An entry fee of Rs. 3,000 (Foreigners), Rs.1,500 (SAARC Nationals), Rs. 100 (Nepali) visitor and Rs. 25 for tourist porter.)

Question 2.Which currency is most widely accepted on this tour?

A Trekking Company accepts US Dollar as well as Nepali Rupees. But in other places only Nepai Rupees is accepted.
