Welcome to Sankhuwasabha Education Scholarship Foundation (SESF), a registered non-profit welfare organization established in Khandbari, North Eastern part of Nepal in 1997.
Organization registration number at Distinct Administration Office, Sankhuwasabha is 79. SESF is also affiliated to Kathmandu Social Welfare Board and its affiliation number is 17776. SESF Permanent Account Number (PAN) is 302303955.

SESF aims to create educational opportunities for needy children, especially girls, from Khandbari and surrounding districts. Many of the children we serve have lost their fathers either through death or incarceration, and their mothers do not have the resources to care for them on their own without outside support. Now there are 20 poorest children (14 girls and 6 boys) sponsored by different individuals from different countries. He goes to various private and government schools in Khandbari

2.SESF Vision:

  • To achieve better education and easier access to education for the children of Khandbari and surrounding districts in Eastern Nepal.
  • Reduce school dropout rates in Khandbari and surrounding districts in eastern Nepal
  • Raise children to be diverse and self-reliant leaders. Stop social inequalities and give children equal access to education.

3.Guiding principles

  • SESF is free from discrimination among any caste and religion. Maximum utilization of minimum resources, accountability, transparency, and selfless service are our guiding principles

    education so that they can be independent in their future life.

6.SESF projects

6.1 Child Sponsorship  Program:

  • SESF’s child sponsorship program seeks to transform the lives of the poorest children in the Sankhuwasabha district of eastern Nepal.. Under this program, donors can also choose a child to sponsor through SESF.
  • Sponsored children are educated in either a private English boarding school or a government school in Khandbari.
  • Sponsored children receive money for school uniforms, monthly school fees, stationery, medical treatment, etc.

6.2 Scholarship distribution program.

MAST Social  Service Program

SESF distributes education scholarships from its general fund to the children of the poorest families and helps them continue their studies and obtain educational qualifications.

Distribution of Food Materials to Elderly

Manakamana Bridhashram, a home for the elderly in Khandbari, Sankhuwasabha in eastern Nepal, is home to 35 sick elderly individuals.These individuals rely on a limited amount of charity donations from visitors to the nearby temple in order to fulfill their basic needs. To support them, the SESF has initiated an online fundraising project. This project aims to provide them with food supplies, as well as a monthly allowance for clothing, fruits, vegetables, and other necessities

6.4 Social Trekking  

SESF  has established Makalu Arun Social Trek (MAST), a nonprofit distributing social trekking company in Khandbari eastern Nepal. MAST organizes, coordinates, and facilitates a community-friendly social trekking program that generates income for SESF to run its educational program in the district.
