Social Trek Booking Terms and Conditions

All the trekking programs published on this website are organized by Makalu Arun Social Trek (MAST), a registered social trekking organizer based in Khandbari, Sankhuwasabha, Nepal.

1. Booking Conditions:

• Advance confirmation is essential for securing your booking with MAST’s trekking package
• Your booking confirmation requires a 20% advance payment. When you check in at MAST office, Khandbari, we hope to receive the rest of the full payment from you.
• We are sorry to tell you that if we do not receive the full payment of the program from you at check-in, we retain the right to cancel your reservation without refunding your advance payment to us.

2. Booking:

• After you are satisfied with the proposed price and everything with us, we hope to receive a confirmation   email from you including a copy of your passport, your passport size photo, a copy of your travel insurance as well as 20% advance payment.
• Your advanced allows us for the processing of a TIMS card, and other essential preparations for your trekking program in time
• However, if necessary, you may also confirm your trek booking with us upon your arrival in Nepal. too.

3. Payment:

3.1 Payment for Trekking:

• All trekking package bookings are managed by Makalu Arun Social Trek (MAST).
• A 20% of the total contracted price is needed by us to confirm your participation in your desired trekking program.
• To confirm your booking, kindly transfer the specified amount to our Nabil Bank Account Khandbari Branch.
• The remaining total cost can be paid online either before you arrive in Nepal, or after reaching Kathmandu, or at the MAST office in Khandbari before the commencement of your trek.

4. Cancellation Policy

• No-shows will not receive a refund. If you need to cancel and provide at least three weeks’ notice, you will receive a full refund of your deposit.

5. Unexpected incidents:

• We disclaim all liability for any unanticipated incidents outside of our control or for the loss or damage to your personal possessions during the trip.

6. Itinerary Amendments

• You and we together can customize any trekking package as per your requirement.
• The schedule can be changed to meet your physical condition, interests, preferences, or unforeseen circumstance
• Any change in the program itinerary my increase or decrease the total program cost to pay us.

7. Incomplete tours:

• If bad weather conditions threaten the safety of trekkers, we can arrange alternative safe activities instead of the trek.
• No refunds will be given for incomplete tours.

8. Code of Conduct:

• We kindly remind you that we reserve the right to ensure appropriate behavior during your trip.

• Participating in any illegal activities or jeopardizing your safety and that of fellow trekkers by disregarding safety instructions may lead to termination of your involvement, as per our discretion trip without a refund.

9. Travel and Personal Insurance

• It is mandatory that you have secured comprehensive travel insurance before participating in our trekking program in the Himalayas. ,

10. Personal Belongings:

• Please keep your personal belongings securely with you for your convenience.
• MAST will not have any responsibility for any loss or damage to your personal property, including travel papers.

11. Travel documents, visas, and passports:

• We need a copy of your passport as well as your passport-size photo for your trekking permit from TAAN
• You must carry all necessary documentation, including permits, visas, and passports.
• We will not be responsible for any issues resulting from incorrect information or missing travel documents at departure or arrival, whether by air or otherwise.

12. Flight Cancellation and Delay

• We suggest you adding one or two extra days to your schedule to account for weather-related delays. Airports like Tumlingtar, Lukla there is high chance of flight cancellation as a result of bad weather.

13. Sustainability
