Education Support ProgramEducation Support Program:

We have studied and found out that about 10% of students studying at government schools across the hilly area of Nepal, are from severely disadvantaged family backgrounds.

  • Some of those kids have lost one or both their parents.
  • Others live with their stepparentswho may not give top priority for their
  • Some kids’ parents have been suffering from chronic diseaseslike heart, or kidney diseases or cancer.
  • Some of the households have been affected by natural disasterslike flood, landslide, so are unable to solve their basic needs

These children from the various family problems have been going to school without school dress, school bags and shoes and shocks. They are going to schools without stationery like notebooks, pens, pencils, erasers, Penci sharpers, crayons etc.  Without these above basic materials with them, those kids feel embarrassed at the school. Their class teacher often scolds them for not having the necessary materials. Their teacher’s such behavior among their friends has been playing a great role for further discouraging their attendance at the school.

How we support those kids?

Through our Company business profit, we:

  1. distribute necessary school supplies(uniforms, stationery, school bags, and shoes & shocks, school stationery like notebooks, pens, pencils, erasers, Penci sharpers, crayons, etc. to them.
  2. create an environment for such the children who can feel welcomedat school which will be helpful to reduce the risk of humiliation or mistreatment by their friends.
  3. Improve school attendanceand regularity and educational outcomes among these kids.
  4. Increased motivation for children to pursue education and build a better future for them.

Food Materials Distribution Program for Elderly Homes.

Food Materials Distribution ProgramAt Manakamana an Elderly Home located in Khandbari, Sankhuwasabha district of Eastern Nepal there are almost 35 elderly individuals living there.

Apart from one or two men all are women from   60 to 90 years old.   They have come from different villages living their homes due to various family problems.

These people depend on limited food materials and charity donations from visitors to the nearby temple. Due to the low number of temple visitors and their limited charitable donations to the old people, it is very difficult for them to quench their appetite.

To support them, has launched an online fundraising program through global giving. MAST distributes food materials to them to ensure that the elderly have easy access to food, reducing food insecurity and enhancing their quality of life.
