This journey takes you from the lower Budhi Gandaki Valley through traditional Gurung and Tibetan-influenced villages, ancient Buddhist monasteries and the remote Tsum Valley before joining the classic Manaslu Circuit.
The trek reaches the spectacular Larkya La Pass at approximately 5,106 metres, followed by a dramatic descent toward the Marsyangdi Valley.

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, our representative will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel.
After check-in, you can relax and recover from your journey.
If your arrival time permits, we will introduce you to your trekking guide and provide an overview of the Tsum Valley Manaslu Circuit Trek.
Day 2 : Kathmandu – Trek Preparation and SightseeingToday is dedicated to trek preparation.
You will meet your guide, check your trekking equipment and receive a detailed briefing about the route, altitude, accommodation, meals and safety procedures.
We will also complete the necessary trekking documentation and permits according to current regulations.
If time permits, you can explore some of Kathmandu’s cultural attractions.

Day 3 : Kathmandu to Machha KholaWe leave Kathmandu by road and drive toward the Manaslu region.
The journey takes us through green hills, terraced farmland, villages and dramatic river valleys.
As we approach Machha Khola, the landscape becomes increasingly mountainous.
Machha Khola is the traditional starting point for the trekking route.
Day 4 : Machha Khola to JagatOur trekking adventure begins.
We follow the Budhi Gandaki River through a beautiful and increasingly rugged landscape.
The trail passes through forests, small settlements and river valleys.
We cross suspension bridges and gradually climb toward Jagat.
Jagat is an important settlement and gateway into the Manaslu Conservation Area.

Day 5 : Jagat to LokpaWe continue along the Budhi Gandaki Valley.
After passing through Philim, we reach the junction where the trail branches toward Tsum Valley.
We leave the main Manaslu Circuit temporarily and enter the remote Tsum Valley.
The trail toward Lokpa passes through beautiful forests and dramatic mountain scenery.

Day 6 : Lokpa to ChumlingToday we enter the heart of Tsum Valley.
The trail climbs through forests and follows the Shiar Khola.
We eventually reach Chumling, a traditional Tsumba settlement.
The village offers beautiful views toward Ganesh Himal and the surrounding mountains.
The distinctive Tibetan Buddhist culture of the valley becomes increasingly evident.

Day 7 : Chumling to ChhokangparoWe continue deeper into Tsum Valley.
The trail passes through traditional villages, cultivated fields, mani walls and Buddhist cultural sites.
We reach Chhokangparo, one of the major settlements of the upper valley.
The surrounding mountain landscape becomes increasingly spectacular.
Day 08 : Chhokangparo to Nile – Visit Piren PhuToday we continue toward the upper Tsum Valley.
Along the way, we visit Piren Phu, also known as Pigeon Cave, an important Buddhist pilgrimage site.
We then continue toward Nile, one of the highest settlements in the valley.
The landscape becomes more alpine as we gain altitude.
Day 09 : Nile to Mu Gompa and BackToday we visit Mu Gompa, the highest major monastery in Tsum Valley.
The trail climbs into a remote alpine landscape surrounded by dramatic mountains.
We explore the monastery and surrounding area before returning to the lower valley for the night.
This is one of the cultural and spiritual highlights of the entire trek.
Day 10 : Trek from Khambachen to Lhonak (4790m) (4 – 5 hrs trekThis day enter a desolate landscape. Trek along on the slopes of the pasture area of Ramtang (4350m). From here, trek through the lateral moraine of Kanchenjunga Glacier. You follow the river’s north bank and cross over to the Lhonak Glacier . You arrive Lhonak for overnight at a tea house there
Day 11 : Chumling to DengWe leave the Tsum Valley and reconnect with the main Manaslu Circuit route.
We pass through Lokpa and continue along the Budhi Gandaki Valley.
The trail crosses forests, suspension bridges and dramatic river valleys.
We eventually reach Deng, a traditional mountain settlement.
Day 12 : TDeng to NamrungThe trail continues through beautiful forests and traditional villages.
As we gain altitude, the landscape begins to change.
We pass through several mountain settlements before reaching Namrung.
Namrung is known for its beautiful mountain views and Tibetan-influenced culture.
Day 13 : Namrung to SamagaonToday we enter the higher Manaslu region.
The landscape becomes increasingly dramatic as we approach the great peaks.
We pass through Lho and continue toward Samagaon.
The views of Mount Manaslu become increasingly impressive.
Samagaon is one of the most important settlements on the Manaslu Circuit.

Day 14 : Acclimatization and Exploration Day in SamagaonToday, you cross the challenging passes like , Mirgin La, and Sinion La Pass, each offering breathtaking views above 4,000m. Descend from Mirgin La Pass to Tseram, passing glacial terrain and small ponds along the way. You will be staying overnight at a teahouse there
Day 15 : Samagaon to SamdoWe continue toward Samdo, one of the highest settlements on the Manaslu Circuit.
The trail gradually climbs through an increasingly barren alpine landscape.
As we approach Samdo, the mountains appear enormous and the surrounding landscape becomes more remote.
Samdo is close to the Tibetan border and has strong cultural connections with the Tibetan highlands.
Day 16 : Samdo to Dharamsala / Larkya PhediToday we climb toward Dharamsala, also known as Larkya Phedi.
This is our final overnight stop before crossing the Larkya La Pass.
The trail passes through a high-altitude landscape with dramatic views of glaciers and surrounding mountains.
We take plenty of rest and prepare for the challenging pass crossing the following day.

Day 17 : Cross Larkya La Pass and Trek to BimthangToday is the most challenging and rewarding day of the trek.
We start early and gradually climb toward Larkya La Pass.
The ascent is slow and steady because of the high altitude.
After reaching the pass at approximately 5,106 metres, we have time to appreciate the extraordinary panorama of the surrounding Himalayan peaks and glaciers.
We then begin the long descent toward Bimthang.
The change in landscape is dramatic as we move from the high alpine environment toward forests and lower valleys.
Day 18 : Bimthang to DharapaniWe continue descending through beautiful forests.
The landscape becomes greener and warmer as we lose altitude.
We pass through traditional villages and follow the trail toward Dharapani.
Dharapani is an important settlement on the Manaslu and Annapurna trekking routes.
After crossing the Larkya La, today’s lower elevation provides welcome relief.
Day 19 : Dharapani to Besisahar and KathmanduAfter breakfast, we begin our return journey by road.
We drive through the Marsyangdi Valley toward Besisahar and continue onward toward Kathmandu.
After arriving in Kathmandu, you can relax at your hotel and enjoy your final evening in Nepal.
Day 20 : Final Departureoday is your final day in Nepal.
Depending on your international flight schedule, our representative will transfer you to Tribhuvan International Airport.
Your Tsum Valley Manaslu Circuit Trek comes to an end.
You leave Nepal with memories of remote Himalayan communities, ancient Buddhist culture, spectacular mountains and the unforgettable crossing of Larkya La Pass.
We employ a well- experienced local Porter-Guides from the local community. He carries your 15-20 kg luggage leads your trek. While he can speak basic English, his deep knowledge of the local trails and culture ensures your successful trek.
At MAST social trekking program package price, we do not include cost for food and accommodation throughout trekking rote. We try our best to keep tourism dollars within the local community. Along this trekking route you will stay overnight at locally-owned tea houses, where you can order food and drinks as per your choice and pay your service providers directly for their service. This ‘pay-as-you-go’ system ensures that 100% of your spending money stays with the local families.

Question 02: How long do we walk every day when doing Kanchengunga Base Camp Trekking?On average, you walk about 4 to 6 hours per day. One or two days can be as less as 3hrs and one or two days can be as long as 7hrs.
Question 03:What is the highest altitude reached in this trek?The highest altitude reach is Pangpema , N. Kanchenjunga Base Camp (5143m) This is the elevation of Kan chen gun ga Base Camp.
Question 04: What about battery charging and hot shower facilities?Yes, you can charge batteries en route. Charger should be brought. There are no hot shower facilities.
Question 05: Are there ATMs on the way to Kanchengunga Base Camp?No. There are no ATMs on this trek route away from Taplejung area. You will have to draw enough cash in Kathmandu or Taplejung. There are a number of ATMs in these cities. Everything is paid in Nepali rupees. So money should be exchanged before the start of the trek.
Question 06: What about internet access?The Internet cannot be accessed away from Taplejung. However, your mobile phone can work up to Gunsha. Away from the place no mobile works.
